Phase 5 Fracking…Anybody have any information?
I will be starting a geology internship next week and I was speaking to my mentor today about the project. He mentioned companies are now using what he called "Phase 5 Fracking", which he explained as a high-density frac process, with more sand, crushing rock around the wellbore and creating more capillaries for permeability.
Wanting to try and learn more about the process as the process will be transferred to my project area that is compromised of a low perm 8 ft sand that produces well with horizontal drilling and fracturing.
Thanks to anyone who can enlighten me.
